Why Workflow and Business Process Management Are Going to Converge and What You Should Do about It

Workflow and business process management capabilities, we believe, are converging to create a new kind of application environment—which we can best term content-enabled applications. What’s new are the granular connectors that are able to link flexible business processes to the content components stored within ECM systems or within other enterprise applications. This report considers how three vendors—Ultimus, Documentum, and Fujitsu Software—are able to deliver content-enabled applications.
